Concept/ Greenplace flow
Materials/ Beeswax, plaster, wood, lead
Location/ Ann Arbor MI
Completion/ 1993

In response to a project asking for a parkway concept along the Huron River in Ann Arbor Michigan, Hoeksema presented a sculpture representing an ecological intervention within this past industrialized river scape. The making of the sculpture conveyed the idea of 'flow' as poured plaster turned the existing 'subject' scape into a sequence of segmented areas in which poured beeswax took shape.
